The department has grown steadily rather than quickly. Most of our people have been here more than five years, which is why our clients keep the same faces across projects.
How we are doing
2025 has been a solid year. We closed four major platform deliveries, renewed three support agreements and brought two new developers into the team. Utilisation has held steady at 78%.
The picture is not uniformly positive. Projects are taking longer than they did five years ago — more integrations, more compliance, more stakeholders. Our average delivery has grown from six months to eight. We are actively looking at how to bring that number down.

A predictable process, refined over twenty years.
We believe in specifying thoroughly before we build. Our five-phase model gives clients a fixed scope, a fixed price and a launch date they can plan a campaign around.

Discovery
Four to six weeks of workshops, interviews and technical audit. Delivered as a requirement specification.

Concept
Information architecture, wireframes and a clickable prototype. Signed off by the steering group.

Design
Visual design of every template, plus a design system document. Two rounds of revision included.

Build
Front-end and back-end implementation, integrations, content migration and QA.
05
Launch & operate
Go-live, handover documentation, training and a rolling support agreement.

Documentation first
Every project produces a requirement specification, a technical architecture document, a design system and a handover manual. Our largest specification to date ran to 214 pages.
One team, one handover
Design completes before development begins. The design team hands over a finished, approved system so developers can implement without ambiguity.
